Crowkeld started as our dream back in 2007 and is situated in the beautiful North Yorkshire village of Kildwick, 4 miles from Skipton, the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.

At Crowkeld we specialise in native Hebridean Sheep, various rare breed pigs chickens, geese and lots of wildlife ... In 2022 we opened our 'Farm Diversification' project to help fund our work at the farm, and we are enjoying welcoming people to stay in our glamping pods which we have named the 'Crowkeld Cabins'. Please visit our 'glamping pod' page for more details.

Our animals live in the natural outdoor environment and to the highest welfare standards in a 100% cruelty free and loving environment.

We adhere to the Compassion in World Farming (CiWF) “The Five Freedoms”

  • Freedom from hunger and thirst
  • Freedom from discomfort
  • Freedom from pain, injury and disease
  • Freedom to express normal behaviour
  • Freedom from fear and distress
